St David's Chelmer - Words in Season
My name is John Swanston, married to Jocelyn. We have a son James and a daughter Katrina, both of whom live and work overseas. We have also lived and worked overseas. My work and training has been as teacher and Guidance Counsellor in NSW and Qld. In Sabah, East Malaysia I was a teacher and church worker in fellowship with the Church Missionary Society (Australia), following three years of theological and mission studies. As a family we lived and worked in Brunei as teacher, both of us very involved in the Anglican Church there. I have an M.A. (Sydney in History. Most of the study involved the church.
Over the next six and a half weeks we are inviting you to join in a time of reflection. Each week we address a separate theme that will come together in the final week.
There is caution that "life's deepest questions could never be answered in slick sound-bites," and so these short daily comments must encourage dialogue and reflection to be of any value.
