Our Beliefs
Who we are
St David’s is a parish of the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane (South East Queensland) which in turn is one of the 23 Dioceses that comprise the Anglican Church of Australia. Our foundational ‘beliefs’ are those shared by the Anglican Church of Australia and the international Anglican Communion. They are expressed in the ancient creeds (statements of belief) of the undivided Church – the Apostles Creed, Nicene Creed and Athanasian Creed.
In summary we affirm that God is revealed, in the life and teaching of Jesus, as Trinity - the eternal communion of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We affirm that Jesus called into being his Church, empowered by the Holy Spirit to participate in the ongoing ministry of God.
